Spider Cake - A great Spider Man party idea for a gooey gutsy filled spider cake... You will need a white cake mix, a container of chocolate frosting, a 4-serving
package of green gelatin and two green gumdrops. Bake the cake using two round cake pans.
Prepare the green gelatin according to package directions and let it soft-set. Place one cake layer
on a foil-covered cookie sheet and cut a round center piece out of it. Place this alongside for the
spider's head.
Fill the hole in the first cake with the green gelatin and place the second cake on
top, frosting between layers to hold it in place. Frost the entire cake with chocolate frosting (add
some blue food coloring to make it black in color). Add green gumdrops for eyes. Kids love this
cake because when you cut into it, the green "guts" spill out!
Spider Babies Cupcakes - Frost several cupcakes with chocolate frosting, add small gumdrops or
spice drops for eyes, and lengths of black licorice whips for legs. Serve alone or group around
the spider cake.

wheel at about 8-10 places to complete your web. Plop a black gumdrop spider with eight
licorice whip legs on your wonderful web cake.

Before the party, prepare your photographic backdrop from a large white sheet. Using light gray spray paint, cover the bottom two thirds of the sheet. Paint the top third in light blue. With black paint or markers, make a series of buildings on the gray area with windows, doors, etc. On the blue sky, add some puffy clouds with white paint.
Spread the backdrop on the floor and have each child lay on his tummy on it in a sprawled-out Spider Man crawl. It will look really cool if they have their faces painted like Spider Man or have
Spider Man gloves or booties
on. Once the subject is in position, an adult will stand on a step-ladder to snap the picture.
The final result will be a picture of each party guest as Spider Man crawling up the side of a building.
